ECO

Better choices, considered.

Every project has an environmental footprint. We help you make informed decisions about materials and production methods that align with your values and brief, and we are clear about what each option can and cannot claim.

01

FSC-Certified Paper Options

FSC-certified paper and board can be specified where your brief calls for it. Availability depends on the stock, weight and quantity, and we confirm options at quotation.

02

Recycled & Recyclable Materials

Papers and boards with recycled content are available for many project types, with different looks and handling characteristics from virgin stocks. Tell us whether you need recycled content, recyclability, or both.

Finishes affect recycling. Aqueous coatings are generally easier to recycle than polymer laminates, and foils and heavy laminates can change recycling outcomes. We can talk through trade-offs with you before you commit. See our cover finish guide.

03

Soya-Based & Vegetable-Based Inks

Soya-based and other vegetable-oil-based inks are options on suitable offset projects. Ink choice is one factor among several, so they do not make a job “eco” on their own. Drying and colour behaviour can vary by stock, which we confirm with you for colour-critical work.

04

Waste Reduction & Management

Much waste is avoided before printing starts. Careful choice of format and page size, imposition that makes the most of the sheet, and right-sized quantities all reduce offcuts and overruns.

  • Paper-efficient sizes and layouts
  • Quantities planned to demand, not just unit price
  • Paper and board offcuts handled for recycling where facilities allow
05

Responsible Production Choices

Small decisions add up: a coating instead of a laminate, a cover without foil, packaging that uses less material, or consolidating shipments by sea rather than air where schedules allow. We will tell you what each choice means for look, cost and timing.
